PROJECT INFORMATION

Project layout

How the project fits the land, shaped by community input, natural topography, and careful study.

Shaped by community input

Community and stakeholder feedback has been instrumental in shaping our project. In response to what we heard, we have revised the proposed layout, setting the project further back from public roads and working with the natural landscape to minimize visual, environmental, and land-use impacts.

  • Setbacks of at least 0.5 miles to preserve views and reduce visual impact (3,150 feet from Road 276 and 3,309 feet from Avenue 196).

  • The natural rise and fall of the land provides built-in screening, keeping the project largely out of view.

  • From surrounding vantage points, the project remains low on the horizon and blends into the distant landscape.

  • Sensitive environmental and cultural areas are being carefully identified through extensive studies and protected through the project's layout and buffers.

  • The project will undergo environmental, wildlife, and cultural studies, leading to a full Environmental Impact Report (EIR) under the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA). Community will have opportunities to comment throughout this process, and Eolus will announce each comment period as dates are confirmed.

Designed to protect views and habitat

To help you see the project from your perspective, we prepared visual simulations from four nearby locations. On the map, each red dot marks where a photo was taken and each arrow shows the direction of the view. In several views, the project is fully screened by terrain, so the before and after images look nearly identical.
